It's after midnight here in Ho Chi Minh City and we're settled into our gorgeous room at the Grand Hotel. It was a long trip but a pretty smooth one. The 12- to 13-hour flight from Chicago to Toyko wasn't too crowded and we had two seats off to the side. There's Ed with U.S. wrestler and gold medalist Henry Cejudo, who was on our flight. He was going to be on a Japanese game show and actually showed us his gold medal.
We had a two-hour layover in Toyko, where I got an hour of sleep on the comfy lounge chairs they have there. Then a 5 and a half hour flight to HCMC. We both slept a bit on that one.
We'll post more tomorrow. Looks like we're supposed to be going to the orphanage tomorow; still has to be confirmed. So we may be meeting Samuel Dieu in 14 hours. Wow.
